The Canon EF12II Extension Tube is used to allow a lens to focus closer than it would normally. This is accomplished by moving the lens 12mm farther away from the camera body's film plane or digital sensor by fitting between the camera body and the lens. Extension tubes are commonly used for macro photography and sometimes for close up portraits. This updated version II is now also fully compatible with Canon Digital EF S mount, as well as standard photo EF and TS E fittings. Extension Tube EF 12 II is suited for close focusing with wide angle focal lengths. Compatible with all Canon lenses, except the Canon 15mm f2.8 fisheye, 14mm f2.8L and MP E 65mm f2.8.
