This 85mm prime lens is designed for full frame for can be used on APS C sensors, too, providing the equivalent of a 136mm focal length. It features Lensbaby's signature lens construction that provides truly unique images that feel a dream like and ethereal feel to your images. This is achieved when using the wide max f1.8 aperture, equally when stopped down, this lens provides pin sharp but still unique photographs. This 12 bladed aperture diaphragm also allows the use of this lens in lower, more poorly lit shoot locations as well as providing beautiful smooth bokeh. As with any 85mm lens, it's aimed at portrait photography. However, like all Lensbaby Velvet lenses, this lens has a macro level reproduction ratio which allows this lens to effectively be used for both portraiture and close up photography with a minimum focal distance of just 24cm.
